Allen County CASA

This presentation, given by Director Nancy Springer and Volunteer Coordinator Adelyn Bhuiya, will discuss:

What brings families into the child welfare system – substance abuse, unstable housing, domestic violence, mental health concerns, et al.
The growing number of Children in Need of Services cases (i.e. child abuse and neglect cases) in Allen County
Who is a CASA – the role of the volunteer advocate
How the community can get involved

Allen County CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), through the work of a small staff and a team of more than 100 volunteer advocates, provides a voice for children involved in child abuse and neglect cases.
